Community Outreach

Community service plays a crucial role in fostering a sense of social responsibility and making a positive impact in the world. By actively engaging in ICSA’s Service Learning program, our community members can make a positive difference and form deeper connections with the school’s host country and its people.

How it's Integrated at ICSA

  • Curriculum Integration: This allows students to transfer academic concepts and skills in real life contexts through mutual collaboration with the community.
  • IB CAS Projects: Student-directed projects by IBDP students are part of the “service” requirements for the IB Diploma.
  • School-wide Events: Entire ICSA engagement in service learning through events like MLK Jr. Day of Service and Earth Day.
  • Student-initiated Service Learning Projects: Upper school students design and lead projects based on passions and interests.
  • Teacher-sponsored Projects: Just like the students, our teachers also design and lead service learning projects in the community.
