Curriculum

ICSA students from lower school through grade 10 follow the Common Ground Collaborative standards and guided inquiry cycle. We offer the prestigious IB Diploma program for grades 11-12.

Accreditation

ICSA is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (USA) and is a fully-recognized International Baccalaureate World School.

Our Teachers

We have 57 of the world’s strongest educators from United States, United Kingdom, Canada, France, Belgium, Cote d’Ivoire, and 15 other countries. 61% of our teachers hold advanced degrees.

Our Students

ICSA has nearly 500 students from more than 85 countries. Many of these students come from the USA (20 percent) while students from our host country, Cote d’Ivoire, represent 13 percent. The remaining 67 percent are from third countries.

Language Learning

All students kindergarten through grade 10 receive French instruction four to five times a week. Students are divided by ability level. Students in Grades 9 and 10 have the option to take Spanish. We provide English as an Additional Language (EAL) support services.

Service Learning

The Service Learning Program at ICSA started in 2017 and supports our mission by providing students the opportunity to learn about their communities, serve others in those communities, and learn from those experiences. Our program seeks to enhance the lives of others through our collective initiative, programs, and resources.

Co-curricular Activities

Co-curricular activities are an integral part of School life at ICSA. We offer 35 different activities, including competitive basketball, football, volleyball, swimming, music, MUN, robotics, and Math Counts.

University Acceptances

Each year, a number of colleges and universities visit ICSA’s campus to recruit our seniors. Over the last few years, our students have attended Columbia University, Yale, UCLA, American University of Paris, Cornell, Boston University, Johns Hopkins, Iowa State University, Rutgers, Queen Mary University, and the University of British Columbia (to name a few!).

Parent Involvement

Research supports, and ICSA believes, that in order for children to best succeed, there must be a home-school partnership. That being said, ICSA’s Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) organizes events of all sorts for our students and parents throughout the year.

Admissions

ICSA has a “rolling admission” process which means students may enroll at any time during the school year. For families able to visit our campus, we encourage you to schedule an appointment and experience our community in action. In the meantime, please take the time to fully explore our website and reach out with questions.
