Welcome!
ICSA is an IB world school offering the Diploma Programme (DP) since 2016. Over two years of study, students in grades 11 and 12 have the opportunity to develop the IB learner profile attributes and show international mindedness through their involvement in a variety of meaningful service learning projects and experiences while developing their knowledge in the DPβs rigorous curriculum. Yearly, 80% of our student population undertake the DP while the others opt for the DP course candidate or the High School candidate pathways. Each student graduates with an ICSA High School diploma.
Upper School : Grades 11 & 12
Diploma Programme Candidate
Diploma Programme Candidates at ICSA take 6 courses from the IBβs 6 subject groups, 3 at the Higher level and 3 at the Standard level. Additionally, they have a Core class which includes the mandatory core components (Theory of knowledge, CAS, Extended Essay) as well as College counseling and Health. DP candidates graduate with an ICSA diploma and an IB diploma.
Diploma Programme
Diploma Programme course candidates choose a few IB courses, anywhere from 1 to 6. Those courses can be Higher level or Standard level courses; there are no requirements for the levels. The course candidates will write the May IB exams only for the DP courses. DP course candidates take the Core class in which they do a modified version of CAS to complete the ICSA Service learning requirements, College counseling and Health. They graduate with an ICSA diploma and receive an IB transcript stating the courses they took and their grades.
Credit-based learning
High school candidates do not take any IB exams. All their courses except Mathematics are with the IBDP students. However, expectations are differentiated in assessments. High school candidates take the Core class in which they do a modified version of CAS to complete the ICSA Service learning requirements, College counseling and Health. They graduate with an ICSA diploma
